Course Overview

BJT/MOSFET amplifiers, multistage frequency response, feedback topologies, op-amp configurations, active filters, and oscillators. Curriculum Structure & Core Modules: • 1. Small-Signal BJT Amplifiers: Common-Emitter, Common-Collector, and Common-Base Analysis • 2. Small-Signal...

What You'll Learn

  • Analyze midband gain, input impedance, and output impedance of CE, CC, CB, CS, and CD amplifiers.
  • Determine high and low cutoff frequencies of multistage amplifiers using Miller's theorem.
  • Evaluate negative feedback topologies and their impacts on gain desensitization, bandwidth, and distortion.
  • Design linear and non-linear operational amplifier circuits (instrumentation amplifiers, comparators, Schmitt triggers).
  • Synthesize active Butterworth/Chebyshev filter circuits and sinusoidal oscillators (Wien bridge, Colpitts).

Requirements

  • Completion of CPE 205.
