Course Overview

Hands-on and simulated firmware: ARM Cortex-M bare-metal C, GPIO, timers, interrupts, ADC, UART, SPI, and I2C sensors. Curriculum Structure & Core Modules: • 1. ARM Cortex-M Toolchain Setup: Cross-Compilers, Linker Scripts, and OpenOCD/GDB Debugging • 2. GPIO Register...

What You'll Learn

  • Configure development toolchains (Keil, STM32CubeIDE, GCC ARM) and debug firmware using JTAG/SWD.
  • Write bare-metal C drivers to toggle GPIO ports, read push buttons, and drive multi-digit seven-segment displays.
  • Implement timer-driven hardware interrupts and generate variable duty-cycle PWM to drive motors.
  • Read analog sensors using internal multi-channel ADCs with DMA data transfer to memory buffers.
  • Develop device drivers for external I2C/SPI sensors (accelerometers, temperature sensors, OLED displays).

Requirements

  • ARM Cortex-M development board (e.g. STM32 Nucleo / Blue Pill) or virtual simulator.
